T&C’s

These Terms and Conditions apply to all makeup services provided by NJ Makeup Artistry to you. Upon booking a service with NJ Makeup Artistry (Ngapuna Julian), you agree to the following terms and conditions. 

DEPOSITS

Client is required to pay an upfront deposit to secure their booking, this is non refundable and non transferable. No booking is secured until the deposit is received.

One payment transaction, of the full remaining amount is due 1 day prior to your appointment to ensure the funds are in on the day of your appointment. A screenshot must be provided/shown in person at the time of your appointment if the funds have not come through yet.

This also applies to wedding bookings.

RESCHEDULING

NJ Makeup Artistry is liable to reschedule a clients appointment to another date or time. It is to Ngapuna’s discretion whether compensation is required, based on the circumstances/reasoning behind rescheduling the clients appointment. 

It is up to the discretion of NJ Makeup Artistry to reschedule an appointment, based on your circumstances. 

No appointments under any circumstance can hold a secondary date, as a potential replacement for the original date. Clients rescheduling an appointment must confirm one date only. NJ Makeup Artistry has the right to keep all available dates and time open to booking purposes, after discussing a backup date for your special occasion. If it was not rescheduled on the spot, it is not secure. 

COVID-19

Whilst my policy states that all bridal deposits are non refundable/transferable, due to the uncertainty of the current pandemic we endeavour to explore alternative options.
If your event is being postponed, your deposit can be rescheduled to the new scheduled date. Please note that this will be subject to Ngapuna’s availability. If you are required to reschedule the date once again, unfortunately the deposit will be terminated, therefore won’t be able to be transferred to a third date. 

If you do not inform us of symptoms/sickness prior to the arrival and risk the health of the makeup artist, your appointment may be terminated on the spot.

If you have tested positive to Covid-19 or have any symptoms, you have breached hygiene terms and conditions and must notify Ngapuna immediately. Therefore the status of your appointment will be negotiated prior to your arrival. In the event that an appointment is rescheduled/cancelled by either the client or management, your payment will unfortunately not be refunded as it is out of our control and therefore not our responsibility. 


PAYMENT

All makeup appointments and/or lessons require either full or a deposit payment upfront and done so via bank transfer. Please email hello@njmakeupartistry.com first to request bank details, followed by a payment receipt provided to you by your bank or screenshot.  


CANCELATIONS & REDUNDS

If for any reason you need to cancel your makeup booking, please do so by notifying me via email or text at your earliest convenience. All payments are non-refundable and therefore will not be refunded in the case of any cancellation. At our discretion, reschedule the appointment to another date, depending on the circumstance.

NJ Makeup Artistry is liable to cancel a clients appointment. It is to Ngapuna’s discretion whether compensation, refunds or store credit is given. 

NJ Makeup Artistry takes full responsibility for cancelling a clients appointment and therefore will provide some form of compensation to her discretion. 

LOCATION

Refunds are not provided where a customers inability to travel for the appointment applies.

NJ Makeup Artistry rents a chair inside of Dollface Beauty Hub at 57 Dudley Street, Lower Hutt CBD. Paid street parking is available.

Any bookings outside the studio that requires me to travel will need to be negotiated via email. Travel fees apply.

The client will be notified in advance of any change to location to allow for adjustment to travel plans. Refunds will not be provided in the event Ngapuna requires a change of appointment location.


TRAVEL FEE’S & PARKING

There is paid street parking available on Dudley Street, $1.50 for 1 hour.

A travel fee is applicable to all bookings that require Ngapuna to travel outside of the studio and will be negotiated prior to securing a booking. In the event that any parking fees are incurred as a result of the location of the booking, these will be passed on to the client. If onside parking is not available, the client is responsible to notify Ngapuna so other arrangements can be made. 

Parking delays caused by the clients miscommunication or lack of information may result in the artists inability to start the service on time, finish the total services booked or begin the service at all. Please be specific and thorough with travel and parking information to avoid disappointment. 


HEALTH & SAFETY

The makeup chair provided in the salon has a weight rating of 130kgs only. Should this be not suitable, please notify us ahead of time and in advance of your appointment for us to find a suitable alternative. NJ Makeup Artistry are under no obligation to ask clients their weight; the onus is on the clients to advise Ngapuna ahead of time. 

NJ Makeup Artistry reserves the right to refuse service if the client is displaying contagious viral symptoms including but not limited to vomiting, diarrhoea, suspicious rash or cold sores. 

NJ Makeup Artistry is not, under any circumstances, responsible or liable for any allergic reactions to products used. The onus is on the client to give advance notice if you or any of your group have specific allergies or sensitivities. In no event shall Ngapuna have any liability for incidental or consequential damages.

Ngapuna reserves the right to refuse the application of the clients personal makeup or false eyelashes. 

Children in attendance of the booking are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children are not to be in the service area at any time, unless they’re having a service done and being supervised by a responsible adult. This is for their own safety; Ngapuna uses expensive, very heavy, electrical equipment, which can tip or become damaged if not used correctly. Ngapuna is not responsible for watching children. By making a booking with NJ Makeup Artistry, you acknowledge and accept this policy and release Ngapuna from any liability if such a situation should arise. 


GIFT VOUCHERS

TRADING HOURS

NJ Makeup Artistry is liable to change trading hours at any time. 

Current service hours run Monday-Sunday 8am-7pm. NJ Makeup Artistry is subject to charge an Out Of Hours Fee up to $100.00 in addition to the service fee, per client out of hours. Special considerations may be made for commercial or large bookings and are decided at the discretion of NJ Makeup Artistry on a case by case basis. 


BRIDAL DEPOSITS
Client is required to pay an upfront deposit of  $150.00, this is non-refundable and non-transferable. Without payment of the deposit by the date listed on the quote, your booking is not secure and will require a new quote. 

One payment transaction, of the full remaining amount is due before the date listed on the quote. All funds must be cleared into the account listed below, before this date, or Ngapuna is not required to perform any services. If funds are not cleared, your booking will be cancelled and the date will reopen to the public and deposit will be forfeited. 

All deposit payments are to be made via bank transfer into the account below.

QUOTES

No reduction in the number of makeup applications are allowed after the initial quote is accepted. Any additional numbers, changes in location or timing on the day will be accommodated where possible to Ngapuna’s discretion. 

No reduction to the cost amount on the quote can be made after the initial quote is accepted. Any additional cost amounts such as undisclosed parking or travel fee’s, that aren’t previously organised by the client will be sent as a separate invoice to the client. 

BRIDAL CANCELATIONS & RESCHEDULING

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, please notify Ngapuna ASAP. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, therefore will not be refunded in the case of any cancellation. 

It is at Ngapuna’s discretion whether she approves your request to reschedule.

If Ngapuna doesn’t feel like she is the right fit for you, she is liable to cancel the booking and refund the deposit amount. Ngapuna will not offer refunds or any form of compensation for services which have been completed.

OTHER:

In the rare event that Ngapuna is unavailable to attend the appointment and provide her services on the scheduled booking date, she will try her best to find a similar calibre artist for the client. In this situation only, to Ngapuna’s discretion, will the booking amount be refunded or transferred to the new artist. However the limit of liability, is a full refund of all monies paid for the services for the affected date only. 

NJ Makeup Artistry reserves the right to use any/all photographs or film for portfolio, social media, and promotional use.
